Our research has highlighted a lack of practical information and support for those designing, managing and stewarding public service markets across central and local government. Our practical guide to public service markets explains what they are, why we have them, and how to manage them more effectively.

The guide includes an interactive diagnostic tool allows you to analyse a particular public service market in depth, and receive a tailored report with practical suggestions for addressing the risks identified. It forms part of our wider work on making choice, competition and markets more effective.
