Support for academic researchers

We believe that policy makers achieve the best results when they have access to expertise and evidence from a range of disciplines. The IfG Academy offers a range of workshops as well as written resources that equip academic researchers with the knowledge and skills they need to find and engage with policy makers. 

IfG Academy workshops are:

• Comprehensive – covering all aspects of government and policy making  
• Incisive – based on our in-depth and cutting-edge analysis of the latest developments in government  
• Realistic  – focused on how policy making works in the real world and aware of the challenges faced by researchers  
• Practical – offering opportunities to practise skills and develop action plans
• Enjoyable – designed and delivered by learning and development specialists to be an interactive and engaging experience.

We also provide a one day virtual workshop that is open to anyone working at a UK university or similar research organisation. 

We have been providing workshops for academics since 2012, and have worked with AHRC, ESRC, the British Academy, Royal Society and numerous universities.
