Katie Thorpe

Katie Thorpe is the Institute’s head of learning and development. She works in the IfG Academy team creating and delivering workshops on understanding government and improving policy making.

Since joining the Institute in 2013, she has developed a suite of programmes for helping academic researchers engage with policy makers, as well as creating bespoke programmes on UK government for a variety of audiences.  

Katie has worked as a freelance learning consultant in both public and private sectors. Prior to that she spent 13 years at professional services firm Deloitte, training first as an auditor and then moving to the global learning group.
