Policy impact workshops for academic researchers brochure

Our policy impact workshops are designed to equip academic researchers with the knowledge and skills they need to find and engage with policy makers.

Workshops can be provided in-person or online. We can host workshops at our premises in central London, or travel to your location.

The workshops we offer are:

Achieving policy impact (one day)

Our most popular workshop allows participants to learn how government and policy making work, explore routes to policy engagement and practise communicating with policy makers. It combines interactive presentations with activities that allow participants to apply learning directly to their own research areas and is suitable for researchers of all levels.

Policy impact basics (half day)

This half-day workshop is focused on helping participants learn how government and policy making work and develop practical actions to get started with policy engagement. This workshop can be delivered in person or online and is suitable for researchers of all levels.

Introduction to policy impact (90 minutes)

This 90-minute introductory workshop provides participants with the basic information needed to start exploring policy engagement.

Communicating with policy makers (one day)

The purpose of this one-day workshop is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to communicate effectively with a range of policy audiences. This session is most suitable for participants who have some prior knowledge of the policy-making process and government landscape.

Bespoke workshops

We can also provide bespoke programmes which may be tailored to a particular policy area or draw on other aspects of our work.
