Tim Durrant

Former Programme Director

Tim was a programme director at the Institute, and led the ministers team. His work focused on the role of ministers and how they can be most effective during their time in office. Tim also worked as part of the IfG Academy team, delivering workshops and other resources for ministers, special advisers, their private offices and other civil servants.

Tim began his career in the civil service, working on a number of international and domestic policy issues. He joined the Institute in 2017, initially to work on Brexit, and left in July 2026.
