Working to make government more effective

Shaina is a researcher in the policy making team. Her research specialises in policy making for groups historically underserved by the state, with interests in early years and immigration/asylum policy. 

She joined the Institute as a research assistant in the public finances team, contributing to analysis of government economic policy, Treasury culture and economic decision-making in pandemics. 

Before joining the Institute, she worked as research and communications officer for a shadow minister, having graduated with a BA in history in 2023.
