Associate

James joined the Institute in March 2020 as an associate working on trade policy.

He was previously a civil servant in the Cabinet Office trade secretariat. He joined the civil service in 2013 and worked in a number of EU and trade-focused roles in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs; the Cabinet Office and on secondment to the European Commission. He was educated at Oxford and the College of Europe (Bruges).
