David is an associate at the Institute for Government. He previously served as the Institute’s Director of Partnerships, having joined the Institute in 2017. He was responsible for external relationships and funding, supporting the delivery and impact of the Institute’s research and learning and development work in the UK and internationally.
As an associate, David brings an external perspective shaped by his experience at the Institute and his current role as a director at Inflect, including on think tank funding models, building effective external networks, and developing sustainable partnership and engagement functions.
Before joining the Institute in 2017, David was head of political engagement at Prospect magazine. Earlier in his career, he worked at Dods, where he ran PoliticsHome’s Central Lobby and advised clients across a range of sectors.
