This event marked the launch of the Whitehall Monitor 2019, our annual report on the size, shape and performance of government and the civil service in the last year.

Whitehall Monitor 2019 specifically looks at the Government’s record on major projects, transparency and, of course, Brexit.

John Manzoni, Chief Executive of the Civil Service, provided a response to the report.

Gavin Freeguard, Programme Director at the Institute for Government, presented the key findings.

The event was chaired by Bronwen Maddox, Director of the Institute for Government.
