The Challenge of Being a Minister: Summary and Recommendations Paper

This short report summarises the results, analysis and recommendations of the Institute for Government’s report The Challenge Of Being A Minister. The longer report discusses the findings of our research in greater detail, developing further the ideas briefly presented here. In particular, the role of outsiders as ministers, and induction and development work with ministers, are each explored in their own chapters.
