Book launch: Brown at 10

Brown at 10

Anthony Seldon and Guy Lodge launched their book on Gordon Brown's premiership 'Brown at 10' at the Institute for Government on 2 December 2010.

The evening was chaired by Lord Adonis, and was packed with figures from the media.

Lord Adonis interviewed Seldon and Lodge, who claimed their book was a sympathetic account of a man they believed was a man of gravitas who got the big things right.

The authors then took questions from the audience on topics such as:
  • Gordon Brown's character
  • whether the Labour government was too tired by the time Brown became Prime Minister
  • whether Brown's premiership was restricted by the banking crisis, or whether he had used up all his ideas by the time he reached office
  • his record on constitutitional reform.
