Sam Macrory

Director of Communications and Marketing

Sam is the director of communications and marketing at the Institute for Government, where he leads on the IfG’s external communications strategy and has overall responsibility for the Institute’s press office, media handling, events, podcasts, marketing and publications. 

Prior to joining the IfG, Sam worked for the BBC as a producer on shows including the Westminster Hour and the Daily Politics, and was a producer on a number of election specials. He was previously a member of the lobby, where he worked as the political editor for The House Magazine amongst other publications, and has also worked as the director of communications for former deputy prime minister Sir Nick Clegg.
