Nicola Blacklaws

IfG Academy Researcher and Recruitment Manager

Nicola is the Institute’s recruitment manager, and is responsible for all our recruitment processes. She is also an IfG Academy researcher, working as part of the team that develops and delivers our professional development resources for ministers and civil servants.  

Nicola completed a PhD in history in 2019, and joined the Institute later that year as PA to the programme directors. Alongside her postgraduate study, she worked as secretary to the trustees and executive committee of Leicestershire Victoria County History Trust, a historical research charity, and as an associate tutor in the University of Leicester’s Career Development Service.
