Working to make government more effective

Maddy is a researcher on the regulation and public bodies teams. She joined the Institute in 2021 and has previously worked on a variety of projects including research into accountability in the civil service, diversity and inclusion in the civil service, and ministerial private offices.    

Maddy studied English literature as an undergraduate, then a master’s degree in public policy. She has work experience at the European Commission and interned at Public Policy Exchange.
