In conversation with Baroness Sayeeda Warsi

Baroness Warsi discusses integration and counter-terrorism, themes from her new book.

A lawyer, businesswoman, campaigner and cabinet minister, Sayeeda Warsi is best known for being the first Muslim to serve in a British cabinet. In 2014 she resigned from the Government, citing its “morally indefensible” policy on Gaza.

At this event, Baroness Warsi discussed the themes from her new book, The enemy within: a tale of Muslim Britain. She proposed a restart on “British values,” integration and counter-terrorism policies.

Baroness Warsi was in conversation with Daniel Thornton, Programme Director at the Institute, who previously worked on counter-terrorism at No. 10 Downing Street.
