Brexit: one year to go

Date:
Monday, March 26, 2018 - 09:00

Critical decisions on transition and EU negotiating guidelines are expected at the European Council on 22–23 March. With little over a year until the end of the Article 50 window, we look at the prospects for the coming months and the progress to date.

Our panel discussed: How will business react to the outcome of the March Council? Is Whitehall ready for phase two? And how will the latest developments be perceived in Brussels?

  • Carolyn Fairbairn, Director General, Confederation of British Industry
  • Sir John Grant, Former Permanent Representative to the EU (2003–07)
  • Jill Rutter, Programme Director, Institute for Government
  • Juliet Samuel, Telegraph

This event was chaired by Bronwen Maddox, Director of the Institute for Government.
