The future of the civil service: Keynote speech by Rupert McNeil

Rupert McNeil, the Government's Chief People Officer, sets out his vision for the future of the civil service workforce at a time when it faces a hugely challenging agenda – from public services reforms to the implications of Brexit. His keynote speech covered:

• initial progress in delivering the civil service workforce plan: 2016-2020
• the strategic role that the civil service human resources function must play in supporting change
• reform priorities over the coming years.
