Britain's idle Parliament

The Economist notes that MPs have more time on their hands as a result of little parliamentary activity. 

Peter Riddell, Director of the Institute for Government, told The Economist that the government passed 'a hell of a lot of legislation in early sessions, much more so than Blair or Thatcher'.
