Working to make government more effective

IfG summer party

Partnerships

The IfG offers a variety of partnerships opportunities delivering thought-leadership and engagement with policy makers.

The Institute for Government produces sector-leading research, commentary and snap analysis on the functioning of government, offering a variety of opportunities for promoting thought-leadership and engagement with policy makers for its partners. Our work programme covers the government’s priority policy areas as they related to effective government. These include net zero, levelling up, technology in government, civil service reform, public services, policy making, infrastructure, procurement, public finances and standards – our work is always at the forefront of political debate.

As a non-partisan think tank focused on the effectiveness of government rather than specific policy change, the IfG enjoys strong and productive relationships with all the main political parties, as well as senior civil servants, regional and local officials and those in the wider public sector responsible for crafting and delivering policy.

We regularly work with private, public and third sector partners to undertake rigorous research reports and policy briefs, high-profile public events, private roundtables, party conference events, podcasts, networking sessions and learning and development. Our aim is to stimulate debate, inform research and work to solve the big challenges facing the UK government. Through its partnerships offer, the IfG can help your organisation understand, engage and achieve impact with government through research, public and private events and bespoke training.
