Penny was an Events Producer at the Institute and joined after five years at Prospect magazine, organising many of their larger public events with speakers such as Tony Blair; the then foreign secretary, Philip Hammond; and former Head of MI6 Sir John Sawers; as well as the annual Think Tank awards.
Penny was part of the team which launched IfG LIVE, the new space for the Institute’s online events, and was one of the producers of the IfG’s online events. Penny also had a lead role in delivering IfG conference programmes.
Penny spent the majority of her working life at national newspapers – specifically the Daily Telegraph and The Times, providing editorial assistance to the Comment and Leader writers.
