Dr Alice Lilly


Alice is a researcher at the Institute for Government, having first joined the organisation as an intern in 2015. She completed her PhD thesis on transatlantic links on anti-poverty policy during the 1990s and early 2000s, under New Labour and the New Democrats. While a PhD student, she spent a short time interning at the Social Market Foundation. Prior to undertaking her PhD at Nottingham, Alice completed an MA in American Studies, also at Nottingham, and a BA in History at Cambridge. Outside of work, her interests include art history, cricket, and the management of a fantasy football team.
