Dan was a research associate working on the Institute's ministers project team. He is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Southampton, with his work funded by the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership. Dan's PhD research focuses on the effect of European and global integration on the behaviour of the public and political elites.
Dan has previously worked at the Open Society European Policy Institute and the Institute for Social and Economic Research, and has been a visiting researcher at The University of Leuven (Belgium) and the Leibniz Institute for Social Sciences (Germany).
He has published academically on the role of the media in support for political parties, the importance of English identity and on trust in political institutions.
