Working to make government more effective

IfG and Imperial College London net zero event, Conservative Party Conference 2022

Party conferences

The IfG has a big presence at the party conferences, hosting a wide-ranging programme of lively fringe events each year.

The IfG has a big presence at the party conferences, hosting a wide-ranging and impactful programme of fringe events at Labour and Conservative Party Conferences each year.

As one of the biggest dates in the political calendar, the party conferences offer a great opportunity to engage with politicians, party members, activists, campaign groups, business and the media, and network with important decision makers and like-minded industry representatives.

The IfG provides full logistics and administrative planning and support for our fringe events. This helps ensure we deliver high quality discussions and a hassle-free experience for our partners. To increase the impact of our events, we make full use of our communications channels to create impactful content from our fringe events that can be shared far beyond the conference venue by the IfG and its partners in the form of social, video and audio content.

Our previous Labour and Conservative party fringe events covered areas including the future of social care, levelling up, net zero, transport and infrastructure, and the role of science in policy making.
