The Rt. Hon. Matt Hancock MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General outlined a five year plan for public service transformation. He discussed how the Spending Review process works to drive efficiency across government and make sure government works for working people.

This is the first event in a series sponsored by the Business Services Association on 'Where next for public service markets?', which will explore how the government can develop the right mechanisms and skills to manage public service markets in this Parliament. It coincides with the launch by the Institute of a new guide to public service markets and diagnostic tool for those analysing a public service market in depth.

This event was chaired by Peter Riddell, and included time for Q&A.
