Transformational change
The current emphasis, across public services, on transformational change is central to our approach to driving forward opportunities for learning to deliver performance improvement.
Although much has been written on the theory of transformational change, our approach is straightforward. It is grounded in a fundamental belief that, for change to be effective, there has to be radical new thinking about the design and delivery of services. The challenges are principally those of dealing with complexity, constraints, culture and conflict.
Method and outcomes
We focus on assessing and evaluating large scale approaches to transformational change. From a learning and development perspective we concentrate on issues of leadership, organisational culture and behaviours which may impact on success.
In terms of evaluation, we are keen to take a longitudinal perspective on the impact that factors such as leadership, consistency of focus and changes in organisational culture have on the sustainability of change projects.
Our aim is to support those organisations which are adopting interesting and innovative approaches through challenge and support and to extract learning through the deployment of bespoke evaluation methodologies.
