Sir Ian is a Senior Fellow at the Institute and has been involved in its studies into Government ICT and Arm's Length Bodies. Previously Ian has been 2nd Permanent Secretary at the Department for Constitutional Affairs, Head of Profession for Operational Delivery for the whole Civil Service and CEO of three different Executive Agencies. He was also a member of the Cabinet Office's Capability Review team for the Cabinet Office, and has a continuing role in holding the Cabinet Office Board to account for progress. More about Ian

We’ve produced our report, Read Before Burning. We had in the autumn the results of the Government review. Today, we heard coruscating criticism from the Public Administration Select Committee (PASC) of the way the government carried out its review.
